![]() If you don't, you'll need to harvest a good number of materials before you make your way to the structure as the walls are steep cliff edges without any way to get up without building. The easiest way to claim this star is to drop directly to this location from the game's start. The Battle Star will appear on the corner of the platform once the challenges go live. You should see a medium sized rock and a tree on the ledge. You need to land on the platform at the southeast edge - it should be on a ledge raised just above a small campsite with two tents and a fire. Look southwest from Dusty Divot or north from salty springs and the structure should be easily in sight. It's very close to Dusty Divot and Salty Springs, so you need to watch out for players who land in these spots and might be waiting for some easy kills (of course, you could always try this trick yourself.). The spot you're looking for in this week's challenge is right here on the multi-tiered hill on grid square F-6. The Battle Star will appear on the southeast platform. The hill is southwest of Dusty Divot and north of Salty Springs. The southeast platform on the multi-level hill/cliff in Grid Reference F-6.In this article we'll teach you where the Shifty Shafts Treasure Map Location is in Fortnite Season 5, Week 9. Not the most obvious location, but fortunately we've already found the spot, saving you a lengthy spot of searching. According to this week's Treasure Map, Fortnite's eager pirates have stashed their goods on a steep, multi-level hill/cliff structure that's smattered with a few trees. This week's Treasure Map appears in Shifty Shafts, but as per usual there's no need for you to visit the Map itself if you want to complete the challenge. With a new week, comes a new Battle Pass treasure challenge.Fortnite's next week of Battle Pass challenges are out in the wild, and this time there's yet another Treasure Map leading to a trove of 10 stars. Week nine’s treasure hunt is of the ‘map’ variety. This challenge requires you to find a map squirreled away in a specific location, decipher the location the map displays (usually a crudely drawn rendition of a location, sometimes with a little information omitted or manipulated) and ‘dig’ up that treasure for your Battle Pass tier. This week’s map is located in Shifty Shafts, not a particularly big or confusing area, so finding the map is a cinch. Remember, like every ‘find the treasure’ based challenge (that isn’t a ‘Road Trip’ one), you can skip straight to the location of the treasure if you already know where it is, bypassing the map step entirely. If you’re not interested in how the treasure is found – or you’re in a hurry – just skip to the final section of the guide. It will have a picture of the treasure location marked on the map as well as a picture of the treasure itself. For those interested in the whole process (or only want a partial answer revealed to them), read on. The treasure map is located on the bottom tunnel level (underground section) of Shifty Shafts. It’s not a particularly well hidden map, just descend down into the mining tunnels and you’ll see it posted on the tunnel walls. This appears at D7 on the main map’s grid. This week’s treasure map is very on-the-nose. The map is rotated 90 degrees clockwise (to the right) which means the map is being viewed by someone from the east. ![]() The location pictured is fairly iconic, being the only landmark of its type on the map. Just north of Salty Springs is a large rock outcropping, if you view from the east, there will be a ledge about one third of the way to the top with a tree on it. ![]() This is the location of the treasure, so head on over there. Once you reach the area, I recommend approaching the outcropping from the south side climbing about halfway up. Once you’ve climbed up you’ll notice that there is a small squarish outcropping on the southeastern side that appears a bit more isolated from the rest of the group. The treasure is the very southeastern edge of this mass. This will appear as F6 on the main map’s grid.Īs per usual, climb up there, interact with the treasure and voila, finito. This is the only guide worthy challenge for the week. This week we’re tasked to Follow the treasure map found in Shifty Shafts. ![]() The rest of the challenges are of the typical variety, eliminate stuff and do an odd task or two (this week do tricks in an ATK or Shopping Cart and visit Stone Heads). This is one of the trickier locations, since it requires some elevation, so pay close attention (or just watch the short.
